Type a brief reflection in response to these
short-term memory exercises. What did you learn?
I learned that my short term memory is weak. I often
forget information due to time constraints and complexity. It was easier to chunk the information when
it was all presented at the same time rather than flashed quickly on the
screen. I also learned that recalling
interesting facts, such as country names came rather easy, whereas remembering
random letters proved to be difficult. I find it interesting that old information
can be lost due to new information and vice versa. After analyzing pictures, I
completely forgot the sequence of the numbers which was previously an easy task
to complete.
