Behaviorism is a theory of learning which explains that the environment
shapes a person’s behavior and that humans are born as a “blank slate”. Another component of behaviorism is that behavior can be determined, analyzed and
conditioned to elicit a response. Also, a person’s
behavior provides an introspective observation into their mental state and consciousness. Lastly, behavior can be
modified and shaped through continuous or intermittent reinforcement.
